The owner was great to talk to, the Pizza was awesome. Will 100% eat here again. My 11 year old ate half of the GIANT large pepperoni pizza by himself.
This was a visit due to the great reviews it received on google looking for a good pizza during our stay in Clearwater. It did not disappoint. Our server was a delight and attentive. My husband met the owner and complemented the restaurant. We ordered the thin crust meat lovers pizza. Perfect. Nothing was over powering but the toppings complemented each other. We are from out of state but if we were local it would be a mainstay. Thank you for a great pizza ❤️
Nice atmosphere. Good size tables. Could do something at the entryway. It was raining pretty steady. There was quite a bit of water pouring off the building right at the door that was unavoidable. Service was a bit disjointed. 1 server took our order. 20 mins after we ordered another server came and asked if we had ordered yet. Pizza was good. Dough had good flavor and bite with a perfect amount of cornmeal. You could tell it was there, but wasn't overpowering. Sauce blend was good - good blend of Italian seasoning and garlic but could still taste plenty of tomato. Plenty of toppings - cupped pepperoni, good size mushroom bits. Could've used more cheese for my taste. Foldable slice. I would go back.
This is the best pizza I’ve had in years. Definitely the best in the st Pete/clearwater/Tampa area. The buffalo chicken is A MUST, absolutely amazing. And their regular pizzas are amazing too, the sauce is so good. The crust is thin and crispy and perfect. This is always our first stop when we come into town! The staff is so friendly and the inside is cozy. TRY IT
The pictures posted does this place no justice. We got the medium wings, Cesar salad and pepperoni pizza. Everything was made to order and fresh. Even the dressing is made in house. This will be our pizza place when we visit again. Oh and the young lady who served us was very nice.
The waitress volunteered the information that the owner had installed a water treatment system to adjust the tap water to something close to New York to be able and create the same kind of crisp on the outside, fluffy in the inside crust. It's been a while since I had a pizza in NYC but we liked the crust at Verola's. I tend to like chewy crusts more but a classic New York pizza is something you should try. We enjoyed the conversations with our waitress and even more when she found 2 lumis (Florida Ave brewery) in the fridge since the beer menu is void of craft beers. All in all this is now no 2 on the area's pizza list.
Dined in at this pizzaria for the first time today. The pizza was absolutely amazing. We got a large classic cheese pizza with onions and mushrooms. The crust was perfect, the sauce was perfect and the toppings were fresh. It was simply delicious. IMHO they make the best pizza around. The staff was very friendly too. We will definitely be regular customers. I didn't remember to take a picture until after we had gobbled down two slices, but hopefully you get the idea.
Absolutely delicious pizza! We had an order of the chicken tenders and the red pizza. The tenders were juicy and the breading was really well seasoned. The pizza sauce was phenomenal and the crust was just right - blistered and slightly charred in spots giving it a crisp bite while the inside stayed light, airy, and chewy. The ingredients were very fresh and you can tell they bake with love here. The only two things I'd like to see them improve on is the parking lot and the drinks. I nearly wrecked my car hitting a huge pothole on the way in and there's no fountain drinks (only bottled). That being said it might be worth the car wreck to get a slice of this pizza 🤣 seriously though, it's delicious and I'll definitely be back. Go try it 😁 you're welcome!
